World Punjabi Organisation hosted a special Republic Day lunch to felicitate its International President Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney on being nominated for Padma Shree by the Hon'ble President of India. There was celebration in the air with Qawalis in the background and sumptuous Indian Cuisine. Mr. Vikram Sahney said that he has been humbled with this prestigious award and said "This great recognition has inspired me to take more socially relevant challanges and I shall be setting up an Orphanage and Old Age Home soon. Besides, Sun Foundation will be establishing an Academic Centre to impart free of charge training for job oriented courses to handicapped and disabled children enabling them to be economically self reliant."
